Hammerhead Bar/Stem

Sooooooo. I take bad pictures.. I could preface each post with that warning.
This is a slick Bar/Stem combo that JonnyCycles makes. He made the first one a year or so ago as a prize for this race , and told me to paint it any color I wanted. I thought it would be best to "present" it as a stand alone part, rather than just do a neutral color to suit any bike.
It also looked alot like my favorite shark.
I flatten my normal clearcoat. Kinda nose -artyishesque graphics-wise.
One of the race organizers liked it so much, that everyone agreed he should have it. Super nice guy
I wanna see some chrome ones.................

I made a perfect grilled cheese sandwich once.

Jeff at Revolution Cycles taught me how to toast all 4 sides of the bread.

Oldies

I didn't take any interesting pics this week, so I thought I'd thought I'd share some past projects.

I got started painting bicycles because of my affection for the old balloon tire stuff. Here's my Schwinn, which I did over ten years ago....... Back when I still had a film camera and scanner.

I had to patch lots of rust-outs in the horn tank, and straighten lots of sheet metal. The horn works again, but I leave the batteries out cuz I am a weight weenie.

Fancy lugwork

I just delivered this one to Jonny on Monday. The headbadge is still masked off in the pic, and the yellow pearl doesn't really show up with my poor lighting. I hadn't been to visit the Madison gang in awhile, so it was nice to see their updated shop. Jon always has some interesting projects going on, and documents them well here:

Ellis Cycles

Dave Wages at http://elliscycles.com/ makes really clean, precise frames. Here's a quick shot of the latest one I am working on.

Welcome to the kick ass, state-of-the-art website alternative

A friend was kind enough to get me started with a website, but my plans to fancify it have been delayed. So, rather than wait , I decided to start updating this blog regularly. It's not as slick, but allows me to do it myself.
